Hemorrhagic Septicemia :
Hemorrhage is the medical term for bleeding. It most often refers to excessive bleeding. Hemorrhagic diseases are caused by bleeding.
Septicemia: means blood poisoning, especially that caused by bacteria or their toxins
Affected :It’s a highly infectious disease of animals like cattle and buffaloes in Asia, Africa, and mid-east. the causative agent is Pasteurella multocida.
Transmission : Baterial reside at naso-pharyngeal region.Animals are infected by contamitted feed, water and inhalation.
This type of disease is mainly common in zoonotic in wild and domestic ruminants like cattle, camel, shiping fever, fish, elephants,buffalo, sheep, goats, deer and antelope. Animals are infected by contamitted feed, water and inhalation. Animals get high fever fron 106 - 107 degerees, loss of appitate increase in heatbreath and pluses, difficult in breating and swelling of throat region with in 10 - 72 hours.
The mortality rate is high in ruminants comparatively.
Treatment: Treatment should be given immeditely symptoms found. Antiboitic like chlormphenicol, Streptomycin - Penicillin, Tetracycline should be injected either in IV or IM. To reduce high fever , cold water should be appiled.
Prevention: Giving vaccination to animals in rainy seasons. strightly hygenic matinence around.

RecentlyOn 15 February 2021 six elephants died of Haemorrhagic Septicaemia the causative agent is Bacteria Pasteurella multocida.
